Administrative Support Specialist

As a Team Assistant, your role will involve providing essential support to the designated team in their daily operations, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective customer service.
Leveraging your experience in healthcare administrative support, you will have the chance to contribute significantly to delivering connected, accessible, and patient-centered care. You will be part of a collaborative team comprising over 9,000 regulated healthcare professionals and other specialists.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver administrative support services to Care Coordinators.
- Manage new referrals and orders for services, supplies, and equipment.
- Handle and assist in the management of confidential patient records.
- Enter, update, and maintain a substantial volume of patient data in the electronic database.
- Respond to a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families, and service providers, directing calls as necessary.
- Provide backup support to other roles as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Grade 12 diploma.
- At least 2 years of relevant office experience.
- Proficient keyboarding and data-entry skills.
- Familiarity with database software, MS Word, Excel, and other applications in a Windows environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Advanced multitasking abilities, capable of meeting performance and service objectives.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and interact sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong listening abilities.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends to meet organizational needs.
- Compliance with the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A college diploma in health or social services, or business/office administration.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office administrative procedures.
- Knowledge of services provided by Home and Community Care Support Services.
- Ability to communicate in French or another second language.
