Position Overview: This role within our North America Life ("NAL") Finance team focuses on delivering significant financial reporting and analysis for PartnerRe Life Reinsurance Company of Canada ("PLRC").

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of OSFI's quarterly and annual regulatory returns.
  • Support the analysis and communication of technical and financial results for management review meetings.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly tax reports and the annual filing of corporate/indirect tax returns, collaborating with service providers and the group tax function.
  • Liaise with IT and Valuation teams on regression testing for Risk Integrity and related matters.
  • Conduct ad hoc projects as required, including reviewing operating procedures and analyzing accounting transactions.

Qualifications: Ideally, candidates will have experience in a global re/insurance organization and seek to enhance their skills in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.

Working knowledge of major general ledger systems and reporting tools, such as PeopleSoft general ledger, Sun systems general ledger, NVision reporting, Business Objects, and Risk Integrity, is required. Experience with Canadian Corporate and Indirect tax is also necessary.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and other stakeholders is crucial.
