About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to provide advanced administrative support to the Dean and faculty members at Lakehead University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality administrative support, including scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and preparing documents.
  • Facilitate on-campus activities and orientation for new staff members.
  • Schedule Faculty Council meetings and take meeting minutes.
  • Assist with student appeals, including reappraisal, academic fraud, and plagiarism.
  • Ensure timely submission of annual reports for academic staff.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or 3+ years' work experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Drive/Email, Google Sheets, D2L, Infosilem, Datatel/Colleague/Ellucian, and Concur.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently.
  • Ability to take initiative and plan; be flexible, adaptable, and capable of working and problem-solving on short notice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Project management knowledge, public relations, and excellent customer service.
