Fraser Health is seeking a Registered Nurse, Pediatrics to provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in a pediatric emergency unit and/or pediatric emergency observation unit.
As a Registered Nurse, Pediatrics, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care to pediatric patients, collaborating with the inter-professional care team, and promoting person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of pediatric patients on admission and at regular intervals.
- Collaborate with patients, families/care givers, physicians, and members of the inter-professional care team to develop, implement, and modify care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including conducting rapid pediatric assessments, teaching patients and families/care givers, and promoting health restoration and maintenance.
- Document assessments, nursing diagnoses, observations, interventions, patient/family responses, outcomes/evaluations, and referrals according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years' recent, related clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area and completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
