About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our inter-professional care team, you will provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of pediatric patients and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide person-centered care and promote patient advocacy
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, including the coordination of nursing care and the assignment of tasks to support staff
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on health promotion, illness prevention, and health restoration
  • Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in accordance with practice standards and Fraser Health procedures
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Two years of recent, related clinical nursing experience in pediatric emergency care and completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification in pediatric nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
