Pediatric Emergency Nurse Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Pediatric Emergency Nurse at Fraser Health, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. You will work collaboratively with the inter-professional care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of pediatric patients on admission and at regular intervals.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and the inter-professional care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Two years' recent, related clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area.
