Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist to join our team at S M Software Solutions Inc. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to identify and report defects in software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of testing efforts.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure efficient and effective testing.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job duties.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our testing processes and methodologies remain current and effective.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems in GUI and non-GUI environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with business clients, supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing functional tests, non-functional tests, and systems-level integration tests.
  • Demonstrated experience in coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases.
  • Demonstrated experience in procedures and techniques of testing web-based, online, batch, client-server systems, and web services.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps tools, such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and test plan walkthroughs.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up user access and user profiles, backup and recovery, and day-to-day computer systems operations.
  • Working experience on applications that automate internal government business processes, such as WebSphere, e-Forms, JDBC, and Business Objects Enterprise.
