Job Description

Role Summary:

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled QA and Testing Specialist to join our team. As a QA and Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our native mobile apps.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning to identify and prioritize testing tasks.
  2. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough testing of mobile apps.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and product teams, to identify and resolve defects.
  4. Conduct exploratory testing, backward compatibility testing, and test system modifications to ensure seamless app performance.
  5. Validate API endpoints using Dynatrace and develop testing programs to address database impacts, software scenarios, and usability.
  6. Document software defects and report them to developers using a bug tracking system.
  7. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
  8. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

Requirements:

  1. 5-7 years of hands-on testing experience with native mobile apps - iOS & Android.
  2. 2+ years of mobile banking testing experience.
  3. 2+ years combined experience with Charles Proxy and Postman.
  4. 2+ years of native accessibility testing using JAWS Screen Mirror + Screen Magnifying tools.
  5. 2+ years of QA/QC Test Lead experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. French testing experience.
  2. Bilingual in French is a plus.
  3. Recent relevant banking industry experience.
  4. Automation testing experience.

  2. Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight.
  3. Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running.
  4. Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism.
  5. Collaborative team player with strong accountability.

Education or Certifications:

  1. Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
  2. ISTQB certification an asset.
