Shift: First Shift
Job Overview:
The Systems Testing/QA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software systems through rigorous testing methodologies. This role involves:
- Conducting tests on integration points, interfaces, and non-functional requirements such as fail-over mechanisms, component response times, data integrity, and security measures.
- Assessing test outcomes against predefined acceptance criteria to confirm the successful completion of sprint increments.
- Establishing and documenting acceptance criteria for test cases, and logging all defects/issues in the designated defect tracking tool, including comprehensive descriptions, screenshots, and reproduction steps.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards throughout the agile/iterative development lifecycle.
- Assisting clients with user acceptance testing (UAT) initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in quality assurance at the specified level.
- Background in testing Commercial off-the-Shelf Software (COTS/SaaS solutions), with a preference for Oracle Siebel Public Sector.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, .NET Web, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, Java, Perl, and related scripting technologies for automation purposes.
- Knowledge of various testing tools and methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Iterative).
- Experience across all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; exceptional organizational, creative, and perseverance skills; proficient verbal and written communication skills; and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in functional and non-functional product cycle testing.
- Capability in designing and reviewing test cases and scenarios based on business requirements.
- Experience in developing test cases and tracking defects.
- Expertise in writing both manual and automated test scripts.
- Experience in various testing types including integration, unit, regression, functional, accessibility, and non-functional testing.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing test cases/scripts and data requirements, as well as creating test scenarios and ensuring comprehensive coverage of business requirements through a traceability matrix.
