Your New Role
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the leasing strategy for your assigned portfolio, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization to build on the market strengths of each property. You will prospect for new regional tenants, researching relevant markets, analyzing potential tenants, responding to leasing inquiries, and proactively marketing the properties to achieve budgeted occupancy rates. You will maintain comprehensive property management expertise, including knowledge of building construction, codes and bylaws, building services, and property management principles. You will perform various analyses and reporting related to leasing activities, including financial analysis and modeling, market rent data collection, leasing activity reporting, budget variance analysis, and tenant credit information reporting. Additionally, you will participate in property budgeting and reforecasting for leasing costs, fees, and tenant rental revenue, ensuring the current budget reflects the best possible estimate of occupancy status and ongoing leasing activity. Networking within the real estate industry will be crucial to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, best practices, new opportunities, and competitor activity.
What Sets You Apart
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Urban Economics, Real Estate, or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 7 years of leasing experience in office/industrial assets. You should have solid knowledge of financial analysis and modeling, credit analysis, and risk assessment. A current Real Estate License and a solid understanding of office/industrial leases is required, along with good knowledge of MS Office applications. You possess excellent interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, strong written and verbal communication skills, first class customer service and negotiation skills, and business development skills. You are driven and passionate about closing deals, capable of multi-tasking, and exhibit independent creative thinking and a collaborative mindset.
