An excellent Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management and overall quality assurance across all digital/or broadcast executions to ensure client satisfaction and team development.


Responsibility over supervising and accountable for the deliverables of the Sr. Managers, Managers, and assistants and group of clients on their team. Will be relied on to assists with greater volume of campaign management by helping junior staff to manage and prioritize responsibility on a day to day basis


The Role & Expectations

Client Engagement:

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of assigned clients including detailed category, product knowledge and competitive landscape.
  • Work closely with Strategy and Tactical team members to guide and develop various planning and buying strategies.
  • Provide expertise to strategic partners to help develop plans with depth and texture in terms of tactical and executable strategies.
  • Actively participates in client meetings and displays confidence in presenting and articulating complex ideas


Communication & Collaboration:

  • Rely on previous experience to help identify solutions and options to help guide those with final decision-making authority.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to yield positive results
  • Train and develop skills in junior staff, pushing the boundaries of excellence
  • Trusted advisor to client counterparts as well as internal team members
  • Candid communicator who can organize, clarify and communicate complex ideas quickly, succinctly and accurately


Accountability:

  • Access appropriate media tools to evaluate/analyze media opportunities and make recommendations to clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring campaign objectives are met for digital and broadcast media
  • Provide exceptional insights in reporting and train all team members to have this mentality
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of third-party audit reports, review results and prepare analysis as required.
  • Acquire knowledge of changes in assigned markets/media and communicate to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.


Financial Management:

  • Responsible for quality assurance across all accounts including budget and reporting accuracy.
  • Help develop and maintain corporate portfolio agreements
  • Oversee aspects of digital/ or broadcast executions within the buying process through to final execution. This will include historical cost data, negotiations, audience estimates and budget control
  • Assist in the negotiation and management of rate agreements, as required
  • Able to manage campaign-level budgets as well as overall client level budgets
  • Contribute to overall agency-level and client-level budget exercises


People Management:

  • Responsible for supervision of Tactical Managers and Assistant within the team
  • Provide immediate direction to Account Managers to ensure that client needs are being met to PHD standards
  • Articulating team needs as well as leading further evolution of roles and responsibilities


Leadership:

  • Motivate team members to produce media work of the highest calibre and foster a productive work environment
  • Contribute and mentor junior team members in the development of results reporting and insight generation to help drive client decision making.
  • Taking appropriate risks and make tough decisions when required. Elevates issues to manager when necessary
  • Confident in ability to activate and lead, specifically tactical investment abilities


Media/Business Acumen:

  • Apply various quantitative methods to analyze and interpret information from multiple data sources while providing a layer of strategic thinking and insight generation.
  • Identify and develop tactical opportunities that meet client and corporate objectives through actionable insights derived from analytics



Your Responsibilities

  • Key contact on client business
  • Responsible for overall media process (planning/buying/on-line)
  • Manage relationship with all key senior partner agency personnel
  • Accountability for providing strategic insight into client business
  • Overall team management with respect to recruiting, performance reviews, career development
  • Oversee training and mentoring of Mangers and Assistance
  • Plays key role in client strategic planning seminars
  • Understanding client marketplace dynamics (economic, sales, competitive, consumer)
  • Ensure utilization of PHD Research Tools in plan development
  • Preparation and presentation of reports and strategic analyses to clients
  • In depth knowledge of all media – offline and online
  • Demonstrates solid expertise/knowledge of digital/or broadcast media and analytics
  • Help contribute to client education seminar
  • Must be motivated, detail oriented, a good communicator, comfortable with following direction and able to produce a high quality of work to short deadlines



Key Qualifications

  • Outstanding record of academic and professional achievement with 5+ years business experience in marketing, interactive/technology consulting, experience with digital and broadcast media analytics.
  • High level of broadcast expertise, with digital knowledge and understanding.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with BBM, Google Analytics, Adwords, and ComScore.
  • Experience with other digital solutions (Omniture, WebTrends, Social Media monitoring) a bonus.
  • Knowledge of evaluation of marketing ROI, conversion funnel analysis and optimization.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, with emphasis on MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
  • Must be motivated, detail oriented, a good communicator, comfortable with following direction and able to produce a high quality of work to short deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
