Senior Strategist

The Senior Strategist is responsible for providing strategic insight across all media into a client’s business in order to develop the most creative and cost effective and efficient media communication plan.He/she is also responsible for building and maintaining the client relationship and internal relationships with account group and buyers.What your day will look like:Train and mentor juniors and manage their day-to-day workloadDevelop strategic media POV’s and hone your writing skillsDevelop creative media plans according to strategy, considering all potential media vehicles (Digital, Search, social, broadcast, print, OOO, etc.)Present media plans to clientEnsure execution of plansAssume ownership of plan revisions due to budget or strategic changesBuild solid relationship with buyers and account groupsAssist Strategy Supervisor on client deliverablesLiaise directly with clientsNegotiate media rates with suppliersUse of OMG Design in strategy planningBroaden knowledge and understanding of partner agency disciplinesUtilize all available (industry) media measurement toolsSound understanding of Media Research Tools (Omni)Participation in all relevant corporate trainingKey QualificationsUniversity/College education in marketing, communication or other relevant related fields3 years of experience in media or related fieldsBilingualism an asset but not requiredWorking knowledge of digital and traditional media ecosystemKnowledge of Industry Tools/Resources as asset (BBM, Google Analytics, Adwords etc)Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office SoftwareOMG is committed to providing a diverse, inclusive, and safe work environment.
