Our client has an urgent requirement for a Intermediate & Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Manual Testing Skills/Experience - 65%

  • 8+ years experience developing Test Cases/Scripts and Data Requirements, develop test scenarios, test cases for manual testing
  • 8+ years experience develop test cases/scripts as well as test data, ensuring all of the Business requirements are met by creating a traceability matrix.
  • 8+ years experience developing technical testing strategies / plans
  • 8+ years experience testing nonfunctional requirements (e.g. failover, component response times, data integrity, security)
  • 8+ years experience executing testing activities for a number of types of testing such as:
  • Integration testing
  • Unit testing
  • Regression testing
  • Functional testing
  • Accessibility testing
  • Nonfunctional testing
  • Demonstrated experience in developing test plans, test scripts and test data; documenting software defects and tracking resolutions.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing and leading initial UAT sessions

Soft Skills - 30%

  • Experience with agile methodology
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent meeting facilitation skills to gather requirements
  • Experience reporting progress on deliverables to team, project leads and management, including proactively raising risks/issues with mitigations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients and technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and management of change requests are complete
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing and leading initial UAT sessions

Public Sector Experience - 5%

  • Experience in testing enterprise level systems and exposure to ministry QA processes and standards within OPS
  • Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations.
  • Experience working in accordance with policies and procedures of the Ontario Public Service
  • Working knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
