Shift: Day Shift
Job Overview:
The Systems Testing/QA Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software systems. This position involves:
- Conducting thorough testing of integration points, interfaces, and non-functional requirements such as fail-over mechanisms, component response times, data integrity, and security measures.
- Assessing test outcomes against established acceptance criteria to confirm the successful completion of sprint increments.
- Defining and documenting acceptance criteria for test cases, and meticulously recording all defects/issues in the designated defect reporting tool, including comprehensive descriptions, screenshots, and reproduction steps.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards throughout the agile and iterative development lifecycle.
- Assisting clients with user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in quality assurance at the specified level.
- Experience in testing Commercial off-the-Shelf Software (COTS/SaaS solutions), with a preference for Oracle Siebel Public Sector.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, .NET Web, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, Java, Perl, and related scripting technologies for automation purposes.
- Knowledge of various testing methodologies and tools (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative).
- Comprehensive understanding of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; excellent organizational, creative, and interpersonal skills; proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in functional and non-functional product cycle testing.
- Expertise in designing and reviewing test cases and scenarios based on business requirements.
- Experience in defect tracking and writing both manual and automated test scripts.
- Competence in various testing types, including integration, unit, regression, functional, accessibility, and non-functional testing.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing test cases/scripts and data requirements, along with the ability to create comprehensive test scenarios and ensure all business requirements are met through a traceability matrix.
