Job Description
As a Sales Consultant for medical products, you will aim to maximize product sales and increase market share within your designated territory. This role involves managing sales and services, general business administration, and maintaining records. You are expected to stay informed about the healthcare industry to achieve sales goals while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Job Duties
Identify and pursue business opportunities by regularly contacting existing and new customers, ranging from individual physicians to clinics.
Provide customer quotes to maximize revenue and profitability, and implement business development strategies for all product groups.
Determine key decision-makers and develop plans to establish product use in major and key accounts.
Build and maintain relationships with physician end users, nursing management, and personnel.
Expand contacts to the highest decision-making levels within accounts.
Collaborate with territory Sales Consultants from other groups to maximize business opportunities.
Ensure compliance and work in conjunction with Regional Vice Presidents, utilizing group contacts when appropriate.
Meet or exceed the sales objectives established for the specified territory.
Stay informed about competitors' products, strategies, and organizational structures.
Utilize all company resources and develop a deep understanding of product functions and uses.
Attend training classes, national, and area meetings to maintain knowledge of how products and services meet customer needs.
Provide necessary after-sales service and leverage each opportunity to pursue additional business.
Report sales forecasts, competitive activities, group contracted business, and other requested information to Regional Vice Presidents and others.
Maintain accurate records of customer information, key personnel, product usage, and developing opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the Regional Vice President on all aspects of territory performance, including sales, customer satisfaction, business plan execution, and reporting.
Properly care for and maintain demo and sample equipment.
Adhere to sales agreements and company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with other divisions to implement synergistic sales programs.
Perform other related duties as required.


Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent knowledge).
Minimum of one to three years of previous sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to sell on a commission basis.

Preferred:
At least one year of sales experience in a hospital, preferably with operating room or surgical familiarity; GI experience preferred.
Basic computer skills (MS Office) and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
High degree of initiative, creativity, and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Specialized knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and related diseases where products might be utilized is preferred.
