Position overview

Are you a positive self-starter interested in supporting change in a dynamic and changing environment?

We have an exciting and dynamic opportunity for a permanent, full-time Terminal Coordinator (Terminal Programs) to join our Facilitation and Terminal Programs Department. Reporting to the Manager, Facilitation and Terminal Programs, the successful candidate will focus on the delivery of terminal programs, setting the general operating parameters for all passenger process within the terminal. This includes oversight and administration of key programs in the terminal operations team: Terminal Electric Vehicle Operations Program (TEVOP), terminal safety program, cruise transfer operations program, and support for passenger processing functions at customs, security, and connection facilities. The Terminal Coordinator will understand requirements, to conduct preparation activities, implement change management processes, and monitor progress to deliver on terminal program priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administration of the Terminal Electric Vehicle Operating Program (TEVOP) including license issuance, violation tracking, and implementation of program improvements.
  • Coordination of terminal safety incident follow-up and mitigations.
  • Assist with implementation and delivery of terminal programs.
  • Day-to-day coordination to ensure program requirements are aligned with process, operational practices, and incorporate future needs.
  • Support in the establishment and monitoring of service levels, KPIs and trigger points using available data sources and tools.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, as well as develop procedures, plans and training to address operational activities and changes

Key qualifications include:

  • Five years recent experience working in an airport or similar environment, supplemented by at least 2 years of post-secondary education in Aviation Management, Business, Operations or Logistics; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Proven analytical abilities to interpret and present complex data from interdependent sources.
  • Understanding of safety management systems.
  • An ability to formulate decisions often without established guidelines.
  • Project management skills including the ability to track and implement changes with cross-functional departments and groups.
  • Leadership skills with proven relationship building, facilitation, and negotiation experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and proven competency with Microsoft Office 365 programs including SharePoint.

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range : $72,008 to $94,115 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
