The F&B Manager may also be required to lead or assist with the daily operation of the Banqueting & Events team. Working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, the F&B Outlets Manager will assist with coordinating and directing all aspects of the F&B Division to achieve and maximize profitability, guest satisfaction, and efficiency while maintaining the highest levels of service and quality standards. QUALIFICATIONSPrevious management experience in Food & Beverage within a Hotel/Resort requiredPrevious experience opening a new venue or introducing a new concept an assetPost-secondary education in Hospitality and/or Food & Beverage Management an assetExcellent command of the English language – written and verbal (other languages an asset)Ability to guide, direct, and prioritize workload in a potentially stressful environmentPassion for customer service and commitment to exceeding guest expectationsExceptional interpersonal skills, and the understanding of when tact and discretion are necessary to handle both Team Member and guest issues with quick and effective resolutionsAn excellent trainer, comfortable with all levels of coaching, mentoring, and performance managementAbility to promote the brand and act as destination and resort ambassadorExperience with Point-of-Sales systems an asset (Agilysys, Micros)Strong administration (Scheduling, Payroll, Inventory), cash handling, and computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management an assetAbility to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the demands of a busy resort hotel operationHighly energetic, responsible and reliable, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and growAppreciation for diverse multicultural environment both with staff and clientelePhysically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, carry/lift/balance heavy items/traysFood Safe (Level 1) and BC Serving It Right certifications required (training can be provided)
