ResponsibilitiesThe business development manager will be responsible for driving sales through new business opportunities as well as maximizing revenue with existing customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and developing sales strategy to increase revenue and profits. · Oversee the entire sales cycle, from strategic planning to identifying opportunities, cold calling to closing contracts, ensuring profitable revenue growth for Trenton Cold Storage.· Create a strategic sales plan, extending the company's customer base and regional reach; implement the sales plan to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.· Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for specific markets and customized service offerings, driving revenue generation and expanding the company's customer base.· Seek out and respond to RFP/RFQ in collaboration with other departments· Foster strong and enduring relationships with key customers, emphasizing communication to introduce new service offerings and solutions regularly.· Expand on existing transportation relationships and explore new avenues that would help create a competitive advantage for the company in the logistics provided to our customers· Conduct regular analysis of customer requirements and pricing effectiveness and create actionable item lists based on findings· Maintain professional and technical knowledge, staying updated on market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities, while fostering relationships with top customers and troubleshooting issues as needed.· Partner with various internal departments to identify opportunities to improve our services. · Travel to all TCS sites across Canada and trade shows and customer sites as requiredRequirements· 5+ years of successful sales experience with a demonstrated track record· Proven ability to drive the sales process, from planning to closing· Strong communication and interpersonal skills focussing on providing tailored solutions for diverse customer needs.· Strong presentation skills· Extensive experience in warehousing, food, and logistics industries is preferred.· Bachelors in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.· Proficiency in using Sales CRM.· Language proficiency in English.
