TitleBusiness Development ManagerReports ToVice President of OperationsSummaryThis position offers you the opportunity to join a fast-paced organization and make an immediate impact. You will be responsible for generating new business for Maxwell Paper by networking, cold calling, advertising and all other means required to generate interest from potential clients. This position requires you to work with our internal team, sales staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities for the organization. Primary responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will include conducting on-going research and analysis, staying current in trends and innovations that may impact business interests or assist in business functionality, identifying and developing sales leads when applicable, providing advanced administrative support, and facilitating and assisting in all aspects of the proposal process.Job DutiesConduct market research and analysis specific to the IndustryProspecting new business contacts using a consultative and collaborative approach with clientsWork with senior members of the management team to demonstrate Maxwell’s value proposition and product functionalityMaintain accurate records of all prospecting activities including calls and presentationsExpand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive position of the companyPromote the mission and values of the organization both internally and externallyAssess operational issues in regards to competitiveness, staying current in terms of trends and innovations, technologies and processesParticipate in developing a process to gather continuous feedback from clients. Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities including calls and presentationsMaintain and develop knowledge of products and services, act as a resource for internal and external inquiries.Prepare and deliver reports on the status of all research and sales initiatives as well as any ongoing projects to Senior Management when required.Facilitate all aspects of the proposal process, including project and proposal coordination and liaising with customers when required.RequirementsMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related fieldPrevious work experience in business developmentPossesses the following personal qualities: self-motivated, integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, ethical values and achievement orientedExcellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skillsExcellent Management writing and verbal communication skillsStrong presentation, written and verbal skillsProven skills to interact effectively with the public and all levels of managementUnderstanding of the industry and area of serviceStrong computer literacy, including effective working skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products and e-mail requiredWorking ConditionsFull-Time Remote Interacts with employees, management and the public at large.Travel will be required.Extensive work using computer and telephone.Responsibilities may include evening and weekend work in response to needs of the customers and systems being reported.CompensationWe offer a competitive base salary, commission and benefits
