Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to expand Orion's footprint in Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and nurturing leads, closing deals in collaboration with our CEO, and achieving a monthly sales target of CAD 40,000. You will play a pivotal role in growing Orion's client base and further establishing our presence within the Canadian market.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation

  • Research and identify potential clients, both corporate and mid-market, across diverse industries.
  • Utilize various channels (networking events, cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, etc.) to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Stay on top of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.

Lead Nurturing

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects through regular communication and personalized engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, marketing, delivery) to ensure clients receive timely and relevant information.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, present solutions, and follow up to move prospects through the sales cycle.

Closing Deals

  • Work closely with the CEO and technical teams to refine proposals and finalize contract terms.
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring a seamless transition to project delivery teams.
  • Consistently meet or exceed the monthly sales target of CAD 50,000.

Strategic Involvement

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for Orion's suite of services—IT Staff Augmentation, Custom Application Development, and VoAgents.ai.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to the management.
  • Contribute to business planning, market positioning, and product development ideas based on client feedback.

Performance & Incentives

  • Earn incentives based on successful completion of monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell to maximize revenue potential from existing accounts.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in Business Development or Sales, preferably in the IT services/software solutions industry.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of IT staff augmentation, software development lifecycles, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through effective negotiation and closing techniques.
  • Relationship Building: Strong network of potential clients in Canada; proven ability to engage and nurture relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Self-Motivated: Results-driven mindset with the capacity to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
