Account Development Specialist – Inside Sales & Marketing


Are you driven by connecting with people and building relationships that drive business growth? Sheridan Electric is seeking an Account Development Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on outbound calling to develop new customer contacts, schedule meetings, and create interest in the comprehensive services we offer.

Sheridan Electric has built its success on being a one-stop, full-service solution for complex industrial projects. Our satisfied clients include leaders in Food & Beverage, Water & Wastewater, Material Handling, Data Centers, Waste & Recycling, and Pharmaceutical industries.


Key Responsibilities

Sales and Account Development

  • Present and promote Sheridan Electric’s services to potential and current clients using phone calls, emails, and video presentations.

Prospecting

  • Research and identify prospective customers aligned with Sheridan Electric’s services.
  • Initiate outreach to potential clients to introduce our company and offerings.

Customer Engagement

  • Schedule meetings for project managers or outside sales representatives with current or potential customers.
  • Build relationships with existing customers by identifying and connecting with additional key contacts.

Outbound Calling

  • Proactively reach out to new prospects and existing customers to strengthen relationships and drive sales opportunities.

Marketing Support

  • Keep social media and promotional materials updated to enhance brand awareness.
  • Visit job sites for insights and visuals to support marketing efforts.

Reporting and Collaboration

  • Provide regular updates and sales activity reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed.


What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years of sales experience, including cold calling and prospecting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present professionally.
  • Experience with CRMs like Salesforce is an asset.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in social media management and marketing tools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, electrical contracting, or related industries is a bonus
