Summary: We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer with expertise in ROS (Robot Operating System), C/C++, Python, Docker, and embedded devices programming to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in developing software/firmware solutions for robotic systems, with a focus on performance optimization and integration of complex algorithms.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software for autonomous robotic systems using C/C++, Python, Docker, ROS, and CUDA.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and hardware systems.
  • Optimize algorithms for real-time performance and efficiency on embedded platforms.
  • Ensure software quality through unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration practices.
  • Document software designs, requirements, and implementation details.


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for developing complex software applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with specific emphasis on robotics or automation libraries and frameworks.
  • Extensive knowledge of ROS for developing complex robot software systems, including simulation and actual robot operations.
  • Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment of software components.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Previous work with embedded devices and microcontroller programming.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CAN and EtherCAT communication protocols for interfacing with robotic peripherals.
  • Experience with Ethernet/IP for industrial networking and communication.
  • Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and industrial automation.
  • Interests in computer vision and robotics control.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience in developing software for embedded systems in real-time operating environments.
  • Knowledge of CUDA for GPU programming and parallel computing.
  • Understanding of industrial protocols and standards such as Modbus, Profinet, or OPC UA.


Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software/firmware development for robotics or autonomous systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
