The Company

Our semi non-profit client in the addiction and recovery space with multiple locations in Toronto is looking for a dedicated, resourceful administrative professional to assist its Human Resources Department. If you are looking for a new challenge and are not afraid to jump in and get the work done then this is the job for you

The Job

In this job you will work closely with a small collaborative team. Your specific duties will include the following, among other duties:

  • Supports recruitment and onboarding processes, working with the HR Manager and team to enhance department effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Models organizational values, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Conducts candidate prescreens, schedules interviews, completes reference checks, and arranges police security clearances.
  • Assists with HR orientation and onboarding of new employees.
  • Performs other HR-related duties as assigned.


What you bring to the job

You are someone who is familiar with addiction and recovery and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. You also come with the following qualifications:

  • Human Resources certificate or diploma.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in HR.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excels in organizational and time management tasks.
  • Manages confidential information effectively.
  • Maintains a process-oriented approach with strong computer skills.
