Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Front Desk Payroll Administrator at K.K. CPA. Reporting to our Payroll Manager, your role will consist of ensuring the weekly processing of employee and client payrolls. Additionally, this position performs various analyses, reviews, reconciliation, and completion of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting activities.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Processing Canadian payrolls on a weekly basis
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors and refer them to the appropriate staff.
  • Review and verify payroll data for accuracy
  • Review and remit monthly union dues
  • Prepare payroll-related filings and supporting documentation
  • Preparation and review of quarterly payroll reconciliations
  • Review payroll data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Responding to inquiries, filing and faxes
  • Additional duties as required by management.
  • Ensure all visitors and contractors follow SQF policy and procedure.
  • Prepare & Process Payroll & Source Deductions,
  • Preparing T4’s and T5’s


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education, with a focus in accounting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Payment Evolution and ADP Payroll Processing is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook.
  • Prior experience in a professional accounting practice is preferred; however, suitable experience and strong academic background will be considered
  • Completion of payroll program or equivalent is an asset
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload
  • People-oriented – enjoy dealing with people on a daily basis and assisting in solving their problems
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written


Special Requirements:


  • May be required to work overtime during month end, quarter end and at year-end or due to other operational demands
