We are currently seeking an experienced Customer Services Representative for our leading clients in the manufacturing industry.


Responsibilities

  • Execute all customer-service-related duties according to established procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards for assigned customer accounts.
  • Manage EDI customer releases by inputting them into the relevant systems and manually entering any additional releases as needed.
  • Ensure alignment between company and customer requirements, confirming demand load accuracy before MRP runs.
  • Coordinate shipping activities by issuing advance shipping worksheets to the Shipping Department and liaising with customer deck personnel, freight carriers, and plants.
  • Oversee all aspects of transportation, logistics, and premium freight for the customer base, striving for excellence in service delivery.
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships and deliver top-notch service to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding inventory systems promptly and accurately, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a 100% on-time delivery record to customers and handle disputes as required to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with quality engineers, production teams, and quality representatives to address quality concerns and facilitate effective communication.
  • Review and recommend disputes for customer charge-backs when appropriate.
  • Coordinate the return of Customer Finished Goods shipping containers from customers.
  • Provide backup support for other Customer Service positions as needed.
  • Offer on-call Customer Service support during non-standard business hours as necessary.
  • Practice effective housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Actively contribute to departmental continual improvement initiatives at all times.
  • Participate in training sessions as outlined in the internal training matrix.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations established by the company.
  • Follow all applicable procedures.
  • Fulfill any other reasonable requests from management.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 education)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automotive or food environment
  • Minimal 5 years of functional experience in materials and inventory management.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Proficiency in business applications and computer literacy
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting


Desirable Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CMI software
  • Knowledge of Ford DDL / SDS / SIMS systems and related procedures
  • Knowledge of Chrysler SMART / DRIVE systems and related procedures
  • Knowledge of Nissan Portal and related procedures
  • Knowledge of Honda portal
