LeverageTek is actively seeking a Bilingual Grants Officer for a 4-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Language Requirements

Bilingual in French and English essential.


Key Tasks

  • Support the management of a portfolio of grant partnerships including establishing partner relationships and interacting regularly
  • Assess project applications and provide analysis and recommendations on projects
  • Develop grant agreement content, including amendments as required
  • Monitor assigned grant projects through regular communication with community organizations and reviewing reports
  • Support requests for payments to community organizations
  • Ensure community organizations are supported throughout project implementation, including problem solving, change requests, and meeting reporting requirements
  • Actively participate in coordination meetings that support the implementation of the program and ensures alignment with program intentions, granting good practices and the organization’s methodology
  • Contribute to the documentation of program practices, internal tools, and resources
  • Gather program and/or project feedback and analyze information that will contribute to further developing grant methodology and tools


Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a Grants Officer (or similar capacity) supporting Non-Profit or Government programs
  • Demonstrated experience in non-profit grants administration or grants management
  • Demonstrated experience working in Government or Non-Profit programs with strict regulations and guidelines


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of the not-for-profit sector
  • Experience in grants administration working in a funding organization
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and virtual meeting software; knowledge of grant management software
  • Experience in grants administration as funding organization
