Ottawa, Canada Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights Full time

The Voluntary Principles Initiative supports a range of multi-stakeholder working groups that share best practices, foster multi-stakeholder dialogue at the local level, and raise awareness on local security and human rights challenges.

The position will include the following responsibilities:

- Help improve working group policies and procedures such as reporting templates, grant agreements, and policies;
- Together with other staff members, coordinate technical and policy support to working groups;
- Draft KPIs and impact indicators as required to help develop accountability frameworks;
- Support engagement and sharing of knowledge among different working groups, including by regularly updating content to the WG network platform;
- Identify important achievements by the working groups and develop written materials and reports for funders and other stakeholders.

**Position Requirements**:

- 8 years of experience in grant management or programme management roles.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Robust project management skills. Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Office 365, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong English language and communications skills in writing and speaking.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Willingness to travel internationally.

**Personal Qualifications**:

- Detail and deadline-oriented.
- Ability to work in various projects simultaneously; ability to shift priorities on a daily basis.

Excellent interpersonal, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.

**Asset Qualifications**:

- Fluency in other languages, particularly French and Spanish.
- Strong policy analysis and policy development skills.
- Experience managing grants in other regions of the globe considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of the global human rights movement or experience working in the extractive sector.
- Experience working for a multi-stakeholder initiative or a membership-based organization.
