PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT

This is a full-time position in the office in the Chabanel area.


As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing year-end CAM & Tax recoveries
  • Assisting in the preparation of Annual budgets
  • Identifying and analyzing variances between actual and budgeted financial results, providing explanations and recommendations for improvement.
  • Depositing cheques daily for Commercial and Industrial properties
  • Accurate input and adjustments of journal entries as required
  • Communicating with Property Managers regarding financial reports, statements, budgets, and analysis
  • Reviewing and monitoring accounts receivable. Reconcile accounts receivable accounts when needed. Prepare accurate tenant chargebacks on a timely basis.
  • Assisting in the accounting of property acquisitions and dispositions and participating in the due diligence and statement of adjustment phases, as required
  • Continually monitoring and reviewing accounting processes and procedures and recommend changes as appropriate to improve internal controls and/or efficiencies;


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of accounting experience or 1 year of property accounting experience would be preferred;
  • Good oral and written communication skills;
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills;
  • Working knowledge of Real Estate /Property Management Software (HOPEM preferred)
  • Bilingual
  • The candidate must be dynamic, energetic, motivated, accommodating, have a positive attitude, and show good judgment.


COMPTABLE IMMOBILIER

l s'agit d'un poste à temps plein au bureau a Chabanel


En tant que comptable immobilier, vous serez responsable de :

  • Préparer les recouvrements de frais d’operations et de taxes de fin d'année
  • Assister à la préparation des budgets annuels
  • Identifier et analyser les écarts entre les résultats financiers réels et budgétés, fournir des explications et des recommandations d'amélioration.
  • Saisir et ajuster les écritures de journal, le cas échéant.
  • Communiquer avec les gestionnaires immobiliers au sujet des rapports financiers, des états, des budgets et des analyses.
  • Examiner et surveiller les comptes a recevoir. Reconcilier les comptes clients lorsque cela est nécessaire. Refacturer les locataires dans les délais impartis ;
  • Aider avec la comptabilité des acquisitions et des cessions de biens immobiliers et participer aux phases de diligence raisonnable et de déclaration d'ajustement,le cas échéant
  • Contrôler et examiner les processus et procédures comptables et recommander des changements, le cas échéant, afin d'améliorer les contrôles internes et/ou l'efficacité ;


Compétences/expérience requises :

  • Minimum 1 à 3 ans d'expérience en comptabilité ou 1 ans d'expérience en comptabilité immobilière;
  • Bonne communication orale et écrite ;
  • Compétences intermédiaires à avancées en Excel ;
  • Connaissance pratique d'un logiciel de gestion immobilière (HOPEM de préférence).
  • Bilingue
  • Le candidat doit être dynamique, énergique, motivé, accommodant, avoir une attitude positive et faire preuve de discernement.
