High Performance at Neo

We recruit, hire, and build our company culture around these attributes:

Teamwork: We trust, respect, encourage, and show up for each other — through good times and hard. We’re on this mission not just for ourselves, but also for the people we work with — and ultimately, for our customers.

Ownership: We all have a stake in Neo’s success — so we go out of our way to do what needs to get done. We hold ourselves accountable to deliver on our commitments — to our customers, to our partners, and to our team. When we fall short, we find a way to do better in the future.

Professional Integrity: We’re asking millions of Canadians to trust us with their hard-earned money — so we hold ourselves (and each other) to the highest standards of integrity.

The Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Talent Acquisition Partner to lead the charge in attracting exceptional talent across our technical and product teams. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in recruiting for areas such as Software Engineering, Product Management, Design, Data, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure. You’ll have significant ownership over our hiring processes and play a pivotal role in shaping and refining a scalable, consistent technical recruiting strategy. This is a unique opportunity to drive impactful process improvements while ensuring we bring the best talent to our growing team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to guide and support them through every step of the recruitment process—from sourcing and interviewing to selecting and onboarding exceptional talent.
  • Take ownership of end to end recruiting process for critical roles and ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the process.
  • Build a strong pipeline of applicants using a variety of creative sourcing methods: this could range from sourcing from niche communities, events, leveraging social media and driving a referral program.
  • Leverage data to drive improvements by tracking key hiring metrics such as time-to-fill and interview pass-through rates, providing actionable insights to enhance our recruitment strategies.
  • Continuously refine and update templates, tools, and resources to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Develop engaging job postings and advertisements designed to attract high-quality candidates, both internally and externally, ensuring our messaging aligns with our employer brand and hiring goals.
  • Lead hiring manager training to align interview practices, ensure consistency in candidate evaluation, and uphold a high standard for technical hiring, fostering collaboration and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

Who we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of technical recruiting experience with a preference for previous experience in a start-up/ scale-up environment. You’ve seen what it’s like to be on the rocket ship and are excited to do it again.
  • Proven track record of successfully hiring world-class talent in some of the following areas: Software Engineering, Product Management, Design, Data, Cyber + Infrastructure. You don’t need to be technical, but know enough about different tech stacks and how software products are built.
  • Strong business acumen & communication skills. You’re comfortable leading stakeholder meetings with senior leadership and love diving into data and analytics.
  • Experience working with a wide range of recruiting tools ranging from ATS systems to sourcing tools. You stay up to date with new tools in the industry and are always looking for new ways to improve your productivity.
  • Strong understanding of the full-cycle recruitment process with a deep focus on candidate experience. You’re comfortable at every stage ranging from sourcing to screening to closing. You also have a knack for building strong and authentic relationships with your candidates throughout the interview process.
  • Successful track record of using creative sourcing strategies to find qualified candidates for niche technical roles. You go beyond using LinkedIn and know your way around Github, x-ray searches and recruiting via social media.
  • Knowledge of the startup ecosystem with a deep understanding of different compensation packages involving equity.
  • Past experience acting in a mentor capacity. You’ve trained junior TA Partners and strive to elevate the team you work with.
  • Track record of levelling up the talent acquisition function through different projects ranging from DEI initiatives to employer brand to interview process optimization. You’re adaptable and always looking at how we can raise the bar in talent acquisition.
