Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Technical Talent Acquisition Coordinator (8-month contract) presents an exceptional early career opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably within the tech sector or education sector recruitment. This role plays a vital part in large-scale recruitment and onboarding processes for technical instructors and teaching assistants for our Pre-University summer courses across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on HR or Arts/Science in Psychology, coupled with relevant talent acquisition experience.
This temporary full-time employment contract offers a chance to work closely with the People & Culture Manager in several key areas:
- Reviewing a substantial volume of resumes for part-time technical instructor roles and teaching assistant positions, matching them to job requirements to create a shortlist of candidates to screen.
- Utilizing university job boards, networks, and industry connections to search and engage with potential candidates.
- Supporting the People & Culture Manager in conducting interviews with instructors and teaching assistant candidates for multiple courses and locations, utilizing screening questions, documenting notes, and updating the recruitment tracker.
- Assisting the People & Culture Manager in the hiring process by collecting essential details from selected candidates for job offers and contracts.
- Scheduling training/orientations for new instructors and teaching assistants.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a specialization in HR, Arts/Science in Psychology, or similar fields.
- 2-3 years of experience in talent acquisition, with preference given to candidates with prior experience recruiting for technical roles or education sector positions.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Google Docs, PowerPoint/Google Slides.
- Previous experience conducting screening interviews, writing interview reports, connecting with hiring managers, conducting reference checks, setting up new hire onboarding, etc.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Able to commit to working full-time from January to August 2025 (8 months), based at our office.
