Your Opportunity:

South Zone Addiction and Mental Health (AMH) is looking for a motivated and innovative Manager to lead the Intensive Outreach and Diversion Portfolio based out of Lethbridge, Alberta. The Manager is a key leadership role and reports to the Director, of Addiction & Mental Health Community Based Programs in the South Zone. This position is responsible for providing the direction, leadership and organization to a multidisciplinary team of staff supporting concurrent, complex needs and vulnerable populations in an Outreach model.

Description:

The Manager works in close partnership with the Director while being responsible and accountable for the delivery of high-quality, accessible, sustainable client and family-focused care. The Manager is accountable for the overall operational leadership of the program while fostering a culture of quality improvement and collaborative care. Supporting staff, facilitating change management and ensuring the effective deployment of resources through budget management/variance reporting are key responsibilities. This leader contributes to the development and implementation of the South Zone Addiction and Mental Health operational plan while collaborating with physicians, other AHS services, and other stakeholders to deliver a seamless continuum of addiction and mental health care.

Required Qualifications:

A Baccalaureate degree in a health profession with current registration in an applicable regulatory body. A demonstrated a clear pattern of professional and personal development. A minimum of five years of work experience delivering Addiction and Mental Health services, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity with progressive leadership roles in a healthcare environment is necessary (equivalencies may be considered).


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources within a complex unionized environment. Strong organizational skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing long-term quality services. Ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Experience in collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The candidate will possess a strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

A master's level degree or higher is preferred. Formal training in health administration; or leadership is an asset. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training. Incident Command System training/experience preferred.
