**Community Outreach Coordinator**

We are searching for a talented and professional Community Outreach Coordinator on a one-year contract to build and implement New West Theatre’s community outreach activities. You will represent the company and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase company visibility within the surrounding communities.

You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to work on a team. This position is contracted for an average of 36-hour work week with flexible working hours/shifts, with the ability to work remotely, in office or a hybrid of the two.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare annual community initiatives budget for community outreach activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, outreach performance attendance and coordination and other communication opportunities.
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers for calendar of outreach activities, as needed
- Build community knowledge and connections on behalf of New West Theatre
- Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners.
- Schedule regular outreach exhibitions in the community and educate employees on community responsibility.
- Prepare accurate records and reports on the goals of the initiative plan.
- Assist in the organization of special events, including donor/volunteer appreciation events, outreach performance nights and other fundraising initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary training in communications, marketing, business, or related fields.
- Preferred experience of 1-3 years within a non-profit, arts organization, fundraising or outreach activities experience.
- Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong experience preparing reports.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
- Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
