Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Employee Engagement
    • Roll out engagement surveys - eNPs, Pulse, etc. and help with getting 90-100% participation
    • Consolidate data and recommended solutions and track progress on resolutions.

  • Employee Listening
    • Conduct quarterly listening sessions with all employees focused on performance, team dynamic, mental health issues, supervisory concerns, connection with the brand, etc. 
    • Analyze and track data received for closure of reported issues, progress needed or improvements to be made.

  • Talent Acquisition 
    • Active role hiring
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment as guided by the Talent manager.

  • Onboarding 
    • Conduct new hire onboarding in line with the onboarding plan 
    • Swag for new joiners 
    • Conduct 30-60-90 day surveys and connect to help new employees 
    • Related Admin 

  • Compensation 
    • Salary benchmarking
      • Internal and external salary benchmarking annually to assess pay parity.

  • Compensation
    • Annual and off-cycle compensation planning and budget exercises, support managers in inputs for compensation changes, policy changes and process improvements based on feedback collected.

  • Bonus
    • Bonus structure and payout planning.

  • Employee Relations
    • Dispute and Grievance Resolution
      • Recognize and resolve grievances and dispute, policy drafting and implementation, grievance committee meetings as required, communication of Resolution to employees. 

  • Counseling and Discipline
    • Counseling and disciplinary policy implementation, issuing letters and related documentation as required, disciplinary matrix creation and changes 

  • HR Analytics

  • HRIS and employee data updates

  • Update the HRIS with employee data changes related to movements, compensation, etc. 


Key Qualifications Knowledge/Education/Experience
  • CPHR designation or similar preferred.
  • Bachelor, Diploma or Certificate in a related field (Human Resources Management, Marketing, Communications, or similar field).
  • Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal) 
  • Proficient in BambooHR or another HRIS.
  • Canadian payroll experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR generalist roles.
  • Enjoys and has experience working in a quickly scaling organization or tech environment.

  • Strong writing skills;

  • Comfortable with or prepared to learn our tool stack (Google Suite, Slack, Asana, etc.).
  • Respect for confidentiality and discretion with personal matters.

Reporting Structure:
  • Reports to the People & Culture Director
  • No direct reports
