Your Opportunity:

The Provincial Population & Public Health, Communicable Disease Control Program (CDC) is currently recruiting into an Administrative Support V position to support the CDC program. This is an advanced leadership position. Administrative support duties include providing in-scope leadership to other administrative support staff, support for the program manager, associate manager, and/or Director and acting as a resource to department staff; managing and prioritizing complex administrative support workloads, overseeing staff schedules and assignments, and working to resolve difficult or escalated operational and/or system issues, trends affecting the department. Further duties include meeting preparations and support, email management, financial activities such as invoicing and expense claims, developing and maintaining orientation, training resources, and providing payroll leadership and support in a fast-paced, challenging environment. You will demonstrate strong communication & customer service skills, be self-directed, demonstrate critical thinking, time management, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills, and accurately collect and document information all in a timely manner. You must be able to manage tasks in an environment with interruptions, and short timelines, show accountability and attention to detail; & foster collaboration with members of the CDC team. In this position, you must be available to work days and weekend shifts in a rotation from Monday - Sunday. Successful candidates must be able to work on-site and in person on rotation to your assigned CDC office.
