SUMMARY – OS&D Coordinator

Shift: Monday to Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The TransX Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for an OS&D Coordinator to join the Operations department in our New Westminster facility, reporting to the Dock Manager.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Inspecting shipments to validate claimsWorking with claimants to assess and recreate scenarios to assess liabilityAddressing overage, shortage, and damage issuesResearching claims, analyzing root causes, and determining solutions, and communicating findingsLocating overages, shortages, and damaged freightHandling many different types of freight; including Hazmat MaterialsMaintaining a clean and organized OS&D areaPreparing all paperwork and the repackaging on all OS&D freightResearching and resolving OS&D freight issuesMaintaining accurate records for reporting all OS&D freight on a daily/weekly basis to service center managementAssisting with answering phones, providing quality customer service, and resolving customer concerns efficiently

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Education

High School Diploma – Preferred

Experience

Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft OfficePrevious OS&D experience in the transportation industry preferredAbility to prioritize tasksEnjoy working under pressure in a demanding and time-sensitive work environmentHigh tolerance for ambiguityExcellent written and oral communication skills in both French and EnglishDemonstrated positive interpersonal skillsPositive work attitude
