ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Foremost is looking for a Senior Quality Control Inspector to be part of the Quality Control team reporting to The Supervisor of Quality Control at our facility in Lloydminster, AB. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for in-process inspections of our products. You will be responsible for audit reviews of our in-house digital documentation before client inspectors are scheduled, to ensure documents are complete and ready for review.

Accountabilities:

∙ Ensure that all products achieve Foremost’s quality standards.

∙ Perform and/or review all functions relating to both in-process and final inspection of products manufactured.

∙ Provide guidance and mentorship to existing quality control inspectors.

∙ Perform inspections, witness testing, inspect and track materials, set-up NDE/testing, and complete all required documentation for those tasks: ITP’s, test reports, NDE reports, MTRs, and material traceability, RFI’s, and NCR’s.

∙ Consult with production personnel, as well as drafting and project coordinators.

∙ Verify fit-up/positioning of materials complies with construction drawings, and that products meet code requirements.

∙ Coordinate third party inspections.

∙ Coordinate outsource processes including NDE, Heat treat/Stress relieve.

∙ Coordinate pressure testing activities.

∙ Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

∙ A minimum of CWB level 1 certification, CWB Level II certificate preferred.

∙ A minimum of 8 to 10 years experience in mechanical inspections, weld inspections (or oil field construction) and blueprint reading are necessary.

Proficiency with technology including android OS, MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe PDF’s

∙ Familiarity with Codes and Regulations of ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, ASME Section 1, B31.3, B31.1, CSA. W47.1/W59, API /, and ABSA

∙ Strong attention to details and ability to work in a challenging environment within a team.

∙ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

∙ Safety training is an asset but will train as required.
