Job Overview

We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator who is dedicated, empathetic, and passionate about patient well-being. This role is pivotal in supporting our clinics and patients from our head office. You will manage treatment coordination, ensure seamless scheduling, and foster a positive patient experience, while working independently within a team environment that values dependability and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Relations & Support:

· Get to know your patient to understand their needs and preferences.

· Assist patients in booking, rescheduling, or canceling appointments, ensuring schedules are optimized.

· Track and follow up on incomplete treatment plans, sending timely follow-up communications.

· Lead educational conversations about treatment options, providing patients with the necessary support and information.

· Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their privacy at all times.

Treatment Coordination:

· Coordinate treatment plans and ensure patients are informed about their options and next steps.

· Work closely with clinic staff to facilitate smooth transitions and updates to patient treatment schedules.

· Communicate with patients regarding treatment timelines, follow-up appointments, and any required pre-treatment preparations.

· Initiative and Independence:

· Take initiative in addressing patient and clinic needs without needing close supervision.

· Work independently within a team framework, demonstrating reliability and accountability.

· Contribute proactively to team goals and collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive working environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

· Minimum of 1 year in a customer service role.

· Knowledge of dental procedures and insurance is required.

· Sales experience is an asset.

Skills:

· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and confidently.

· Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for patient care.

· Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and think on your feet.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also being a dependable team player.

· Working Conditions:

· Office environment equipped with a computer, phone, fax, email, and visual tools such as models, PowerPoint presentations, and patient treatment photos.
