We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records, and administering employee benefits programs.


Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including salary calculations, deductions, bonuses, overtime, and other compensation

• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and employee information

• Process and reconcile all third-party payments such as CRA Tax payments, Garnishments etc.

• Administer employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes and terminations

• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders promptly and professionally

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely manner

• Generate and distribute payroll reports as required by management, HR, finance, and other stakeholders

• Utilize payroll software systems effectively to process payroll, maintain employee records, and generate reports

• Participate in internal and external audits of payroll processes and records

• Provide guidance and support to HR colleagues, managers, and employees on payroll-related matters, including policies, procedures, and self-service tools


• Proficiency in using Payworks for payroll and benefits administration

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Familiarity with About Time time-tracking software

• Strong understanding of benefit functions and benefits administration

• Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems

• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to payroll and benefits administration.
