You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $ - $ Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article or (ii) as applicable. Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 ( and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic computer skills.Good communication skills and the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required.Demonstrated ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing competence through professional development activities.Ability to work shift work.Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.Recent experience in Labour/Delivery/Perioperative/Postpartum/Antepartum and Newborn care preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) Certification as asset.Inter-professional Communication.Patient/Client/Family/Community-Centered Care.Leadership and critical thinking skills.Ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities.Ability to work within a team environment and to effectively contribute to patient and family care planning processes.Understanding of teaching/learning concepts.Fetal Health Surveillance experience preferred.
