We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the Steel Manufacturing industry. This role is based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. As a Collections Specialist, you will be tasked with managing customer accounts within a team environment.


Responsibilities:


• Manage customer accounts, ensuring all details are up to date and accurate.

• Process customer statements and cash applications related to collections.

• Conduct soft collections by providing friendly reminders to customers regarding their dues.

• Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other software to facilitate collection processes.

• Handle inbound customer inquiries related to their accounts and resolve any issues.

• Perform billing functions and claim administration as necessary.

• Leverage skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) for effective account management.

• Maintain a professional and business casual demeanor in the workplace.

• Work collaboratively in a three-person team, contributing to a positive team environment.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a AR/ Billing and collections role within the manufacturing industry

• Experience with using MS Dynamics 365

• Comfortable with answering inbound calls and addressing customer queries

• Experience in claim administration and adjustments

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Post Secondary diploma/ degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
