Purpose of Role: The Reliability Engineer supports business through effective troubleshooting, analysis, and solution proposal to ensure reliability of Weir equipment. They should possess superior trouble shooting and failure mode analysis along with knowledge of technical standards and technical expertise in both 3D and 2D CAD. This position will be working under general supervision of the Reliability Engineer Manager and recommendations and finished work will be reviewed for soundness of judgment, application of standards and policies, attainment of objectives, and adherence to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Support Manager by providing technical support to Sales, Field & Process Engineering, as well as Weir Customers & their Reliability Engineering groups by applying engineering knowledge and techniques to identify and resolve all issues on product installed and sold in Canada; primarily pump product lines. Inspect Equipment : Utilize inspection techniques such as measurements, x-ray, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), microstructure, hardness testing, and fitment studies including statistical tolerance analysis. Root Cause Analysis: Identification of root cause for failures and propose corrective and preventative actions. Drive mitigation by proposing design/process, maintenance and training changes. Technical Documentation: Write technical reports, standards, presentations, inspection test plans (ITP), work instructions (WI), process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and estimates. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering) P. Eng 2-4 years of experience with direct design/field experience in the mechanical and structural design of heavy industrial equipment. Ability to create 3D CAD models and 2D engineering detailed drawings Experience working in the mining industry and/or around centrifugal pumps preferred
