Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Weir. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our heavy industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to our sales, field, and process engineering teams, as well as our customers and their reliability engineering groups, to identify and resolve issues with our products.
  • Equipment Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of equipment using various techniques, including measurements, x-ray, ultrasonic testing, microstructure analysis, and fitment studies.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identify the root cause of equipment failures and propose corrective and preventative actions to mitigate future issues.
  • Technical Documentation: Create technical reports, standards, presentations, inspection test plans, work instructions, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and estimates.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate a commitment to our zero-harm behaviors and contribute to the development of a world-class safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in the mechanical and structural design of heavy industrial equipment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in creating 3D CAD models and 2D engineering detailed drawings, experience working in the mining industry and/or around centrifugal pumps.
