Reliability Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Weir Minerals Canada. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability of our equipment and providing technical support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to Sales, Field & Process Engineering, and Weir Customers & their Reliability Engineering groups by applying engineering knowledge and techniques to identify and resolve issues on product installed and sold in Canada.
- Inspect equipment using various techniques such as measurements, x-ray, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), microstructure, hardness testing, and fitment studies including statistical tolerance analysis.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify failures and propose corrective and preventative actions, driving mitigation by proposing design/process, maintenance, and training changes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical reports, standards, presentations, inspection test plans (ITP), work instructions (WI), process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and estimates.
- Demonstrate a commitment to our zero-harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (P. Eng)
- 2-4 years of experience with direct design/field experience in the mechanical and structural design of heavy industrial equipment.
- Ability to create 3D CAD models and 2D engineering detailed drawings.
- Experience working in the mining industry and/or around centrifugal pumps is preferred.
