Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support maintenance engineering tasks in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, turnaround planning, and cross-functional groups to execute engineering projects.
- Prepare and review technical documentation to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues.
- Develop maintenance strategies for the reliable operation of site systems and equipment.
- Provide expert advice on static equipment, operations, and maintenance practices.
- Participate in audits and investigations, implementing recommendations as necessary.
- Lead troubleshooting initiatives and propose effective solutions.
- Advocate for a safety culture in all engineering activities.
- Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process and its deliverables.
- Comply with training and safety management requirements, ensuring safe work practices.
- Ensure timely reporting and investigation of incidents, with appropriate follow-up actions.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.
- Conduct field assessments and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to formulate repair strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical or mechatronics engineering, with registration as a Professional Engineer or meeting APEGA Inter-Provincial Mobility criteria.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards, including API and ASME specifications.
- Proven ability to apply relevant Acts, Regulations, and Codes effectively.
- Familiarity with reliability assessment tools such as FMEA and RCA.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to conduct site visits as required, adhering to HSE protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to seek constructive feedback for personal and professional growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD and SAP is advantageous.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 or equivalent driver's license.
