Responsibilities

Ensure the correct cost centers and hourly rates are assigned to each employee, making necessary adjustments.
Manually record various types of absences, such as holidays, sick leave, and Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) cases, in the payroll system
Oversee and maintain records for sick leave, vacation days, and other time off, ensuring annual updates are accurate.
Input data for specific payments like tool or shoe allowances.
Calculate final payouts for employees leaving due to termination or retirement.
Coordinate with location supervisors to ensure daily payroll timesheet transfers.
Collaborate with the payroll department to implement annual system changes, including salary increases and vacation adjustments.
Monitor hours worked by temporary employees to determine their eligibility for full-time status.
Manage new employee file creation and follow up in the SAP system.
Support the front desk by answering calls and assisting walk-in visitors or contractors.
Keep track of office supplies and order replacements when necessary.
Handle Accounts Payable processes for repair and maintenance, materials, services, and external suppliers.
Generate credit memos as required.
Maintain a budget tracker for ongoing financial activities.
Assist with inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking of variances in full goods and raw materials.
Manage vendor payments through prompt pay requests and oversee vendor invoice processing.
Handle supplier information in MDG, including adding new suppliers or updating existing records.
Perform general administrative tasks at the local plant as directed by management.

Qualifications

- Grade 12 Diploma; post-secondary education in business is an asset.
- Knowledge of Profield/ SAP is considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
