Supervise un groupe de techniciens de maintenance engagés dans l’exécution de procédures de maintenance corrective, prédictive et préventive pour l’équipement de manutention, les systèmes de contrôle et l’équipement de numérisation associé en établissant des attentes de performance et en gérant ces attentes.

Essential Functions

  • Management responsibilities include, but not limited to: coaching, skills development, recognitions and rewards, performance management and staff productivity.
  • Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Ensures compliance and is responsible to address variances and other budget concerns.
  • Communicates the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance tasks in alignment with FedEx FedEx standards.
  • Ensures best practices for corrective and preventative maintenance procedures are followed including timely, accurate completion of the preventative maintenance program.
  • Manages the daily use of all Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) activities (e.g. maintenance entry and processing work orders).
  • Provides technical expertise in the areas of sortation electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Completes quality audits of technician work tasks and communicate results.
  • Identifies and proposes improvements to the material handling system to improve operations.
  • Acquires bids from, and manages, vendors and suppliers, including building and FedExs maintenance, repair and improvement vendors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Scolarité minimum

  • Diplôme d’études secondaires ou GED requis ; certificat en technologie électrique, électronique, mécanique ou d’ingénierie de maintenance de préférence.

Expérience minimum

8 ans (ou six [6] ans d’expérience avec diplôme préféré), d’expérience progressive en maintenance industrielle légère avec deux (2) ans d’expérience démontrée dans la direction d’équipes de projet liées à la maintenance, y compris des techniciens de maintenance de niveau inférieur. Expérience souhaitée à inclure : a) compréhension approfondie de la transmission de puissance mécanique et/ou de l’alimentation électrique ou des commandes de machines b) capacité démontrée de développer et de mettre en œuvre des équipements et/ou des améliorations de processus axés sur la qualité (QDM) c) expérience antérieure de supervision ou de gestion

Connaissances et compétences

  • Compétences en matière de logiciels, y compris l’utilisation des logiciels Microsoft Office et des applications basées sur le web.
  • Compétences en communication orale et écrite efficaces nécessaires pour communiquer de manière concise avec tous les niveaux de direction.
  • Compétences en matière de présentation, nécessaires pour animer des formations et/ou des séances d’information à l’intention de groupages et/ou d’individus.
  • Compétences en matière de gestion du temps, d’organisation et d’exécution de tâches multiples, nécessaires pour travailler dans un environnement à rythme rapide, gérer diverses tâches et des priorités changeantes, tout en accordant une grande attention aux détails et à la précision afin d’accomplir les tâches et d’atteindre les objectifs quotidiens.
  • Capacité à anticiper et à identifier les problèmes et à faire preuve de discernement et d’analyse factuelle pour élaborer des solutions efficaces et efficientes.
  • Capacité à motiver une équipe pour qu’elle atteigne le plus haut niveau de rendement en inspirant une vision commune et en lui donnant les moyens d’agir.
  • Aptitude démontrée à établir des relations professionnelles, à diriger efficacement une équipe et à influencer positivement des groupages divers.
  • Aptitude à communiquer efficacement à l’écrit et à l’oral, notamment à présenter de manière concise des informations à la direction de son établissement.
  • Compréhension de la conception mécanique et électrique, de l’agencement, de la fabrication et des pratiques de réparation dans le cadre des applications de transmission de puissance et de convoyeur à courroie.
  • Connaissance des moteurs et des méthodes de contrôle des moteurs.
  • Expérience des techniques de dépannage électrique et mécanique.
  • Connaissance des systèmes de commande par automate programmable et par ordinateur.
  • Compréhension approfondie du système de contrôle de pesée SWAK (lecteur de codes-barres).
  • Expérience du dépannage et de la réparation des numériseurs d’étiquettes.
  • Connaissance des codes de sécurité applicables.
  • Capacité à interpréter les schémas électriques et mécaniques.

En plus des facteurs habituels faisant partie du processus de sélection, tout candidat à un poste exigeant la conduite d’un véhicule comme compétence de base doit posséder un permis de conduire valide (p. ex. de classe 5, G, ou 1 AZ) et un dossier de conduite affichant un maximum de deux infractions et / ou accidents au cours des 24 mois précédant la date de candidature. Les candidats feront en outre l’objet d’une évaluation basée sur l’examen approfondi :

  1. de leur dossier de conduite courant,
  2. des résultats de leur entrevue et
  3. des résultats de toute évaluation de leurs compétences de conducteur.
