Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Intermodal Manager to join our team at CP. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our intermodal equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities for intermodal equipment, including lift equipment and hostler maintenance.
- Monitor and manage the maintenance and repair of intermodal chassis and containers.
- Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are performed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on maintenance and repair activities, including completion of PM sheets and equipment maintenance records.
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are performed to the highest standards.
- Investigate and resolve maintenance-related issues and damage claims.
- Process and audit maintenance-related invoices and payments.
- Work with Asset Management and Supply Services to develop and implement asset strategies and RFP proposals.
Requirements
- Post-secondary certificate or degree in a related field, such as mechanical, maintenance, or engineering.
- Strong mechanical background and experience in maintenance operations.
- Journeyman certification in maintenance of road or off-road equipment is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance operations, with a focus on intermodal equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Access, SAP, Oasis, TMS, and PowerPoint.
