The Recruitment Administrator will work closely with the Senior Recruiter to manage the account for one of our most important clients.  The Recruitment Administrator will screen new candidates and onboard them, contact existing contractors and review their credentials, safety tickets and assign the contractors new work assignments. The Recruitment Administrator will also be responsible for the safety compliance of contractors and provide support and assistance to the Technical Staffing Services (TSS) Technical Recruiters and Operations manager on ad hoc projects. This position is mainly remote.

  • Ensure support of the standardized administrative process for recruiting.
  • Screen and place mid to senior level inspection personnel
  • Support TSS Technical recruiters with administrative tasks, ad hoc projects, and screening of resumes
  • Arrange interviews, meetings or phone calls with TSS hires for updates on client training or procedure changes.
  • Understand customer expectations from provided job descriptions and technical job requirements and clearly communicate these expectations and requirements to TSS contractors; ensure that proposed contractors meet the SGS standard and hold the necessary requirements and/or technical background needed to effectively perform the job.
  • Strive to improve the quality of candidates that are being sent to the client. 
  • Receive and review applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for the customers.
  • Request references and check the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the customer.
  • Prepare CV’s and correspondence to forward to customers in respect of suitable applicants.
  • Utilize online recruitment tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed and other job boards.
  • Conduct business in accordance with SGS standards for ethics and integrity.
  • As required, be available to receive Contractor phone calls in the evenings and weekends.
  • Maintain database of employees and ensure that all personal files are up to date.
  • Operate and manage through ATS (Applicants Tracking System) for recruitment and hiring.

Qualifications

  • A degree/diploma/certificate in a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent experience in a business environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a recruitment agency is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office application package.
  • Some knowledge or an ability to learn online recruitment tools such as LinkedIn and other job boards.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with an Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Must enjoy administrative work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under moderate time pressure to meet customer deadlines.
  • Sense of urgency and must be able to work under pressure at times.
  • Strong communication skills, including cold calling skills.
  • Professional, high standards in personal presentation.
  • Team player, ability to network.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
  • Ability to work well with others & independently.
  • Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Extended hours may be required from time to time.
  • Travel to other SGS locations or client locations may be required from time to time.
  • Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
  • This position is mainly remote with the expectation of 1 day a week in the office (Downtown Calgary) once the training period is over.
  • This position will be posted until Monday August 5th.
