The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all payroll and benefits-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for 150+ employees using Payworks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with union agreements and company policies.
  • Manage employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll and benefits administration.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and labor laws to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including T4 preparation and reconciliation.





  • 1-3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Experience with union payroll processing is required.
  • Proficiency in using Payworks or similar payroll software.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and labor laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
