Marie, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Victoria, including locations near Indigenous communities.By bringing together people from diverse perspectives, experiences, and communities, we ensure innovation, collaboration, and the highest standards in software quality assurance.We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Executive to lead our business development efforts across Alberta, based out of our Calgary office .ResponsibilitiesThe Role:As Sales Executive , you will be a driving force in expanding our footprint in Alberta. You will develop new business opportunities, build lasting client relationships, and help organizations understand the value of working with a purpose-driven Canadian technology company. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a consultative sales approach and a passion for creating impact through business growth.Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and direct outreach. Qualify leads and develop customized solutions that align with client needs. Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and closing. Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to build winning proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs). Monitor bid sites and lead RFP responses for public and private sector opportunities. Track all sales activities in Salesforce and maintain accurate pipeline and forecast reporting. Represent PLATO at local events, conferences, and industry networking opportunities. Provide market feedback to help refine our service offerings and positioning. Support and embody PLATO's mission to promote Indigenous inclusion and tech sector transformation Qualifications5-7 years of B2B sales experience, including 2+ years in technology or IT services sales. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Proven ability to secure meetings and develop productive relationships with key executives of large organizations. Experience selling professional services (software testing, IT consulting, or staffing preferred). Comfortable with outbound prospecting, cold calling via traditional processes and social selling via LinkedIn. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a client-first mindset. Solid understanding of the sales lifecycle and ability to close complex deals. Familiarity with provincial and federal government procurement and RFP processes in Canada Proficient in using CRM tools (Salesforce experience is an asset). Strong business acumen and ability to identify client pain points and solutions. Ability to work independently while staying connected to a national sales team. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally within Alberta.
